Looking back, it's pretty amusing in a morbid way after knowing the twist of Bubble Buddy being "real". " Bubble Buddy" = Spongebob's feeling lonely one day, so he decides to make his own new friend in the form of an inanimate creature called "Bubble Buddy". Sure he might've went a bit too far with him trying to copy everything Spongebob did, but it at least led to a pretty funny ending of them chasing eachother home and then Patrick finding out that he did get an award after all. I always loved the strong focus it gave to Patrick, given how he's my favorite character of the show, with his struggles of wanting to succeed like his best friend but kept failing for the most part until opening a jar of pickles.

" Big Pink Loser" = Patrick feels upset about not receiving any award in his life, so Spongebob offers to help him by giving him a job at the Krusty Krab. All leading to a satisfying ending of Spongebob "pretending" to fire Pearl, freeing her from the responsibility and thus taking back all the decorations into his house (to Gary's chagrin lol), ultimately saving the restaurant after all.

but yet in truth Pearl actually wanted her dad to fire her due to this new job cutting into her social life, and only really taking up the job to please Mr. Krabs revealed that he didn't want to fire Pearl (despite all her decorations being too costly) due to not wanting to break her heart. Thought it was also a sweet touch as well on how Mr. Nice to see some more Pearl focus with her arriving to work in the restaurant, giving everyone the new goofy-looking uniforms while she and Spongebob think up of ways to improve the place (even though it lead to Spongebob growing wary of the new changes overtime). Krabs hires Pearl to help spruce up the Krusty Krab, but Spongebob starts to worry that it'll ruin the restaurant with her new "Kuddly Krab" theme. A simple yet humorous episode with Spongebob having such a dramatic worry that he's gone ugly (even though it was obviously just his breath that was the problem lol), and it was also kinda sweet how Patrick was so willing to help his friend out in his own way (even if it kept failing like "The Ugly Barnacle" story he gave XD), leading to them both getting bad breath at the end and their fears becoming alleviated after all. " Something Smells" = Spongebob eats a gross sundae that leaves him with bad breath, freaking out everybody to the point of Spongebob believing he's now "ugly". but it all revealing that Spongebob forgot to change the Closed sign to Open, so his whole day of worries was a waste of time to begin with. Gotta love how slowly mad and trippy Squidward's worries got the more he felt tempted to leave the restaurant, Spongebob constantly bugging him about his "errands" which all leads to a deranged Squidward running back there (while naked XD). Krabs is away, but while Squid tries to take advantage of this by "going to run errands" (aka, take a break himself), he starts getting paranoid about something going wrong while Spongebob's there. " Squid's Day Off" = Squidward and Spongebob are left in charge of the Krusty Krab while Mr.

But at least it lead to some funny visuals like Spongebob accidentally throwing Krabby Patties into Squidward's mouth (causing him to get fat lol), The Flying Dutchman arriving to show all those creative knots of his ("The Monkey Chain", "The Monkey's Fist", "The Monkey!" XD), and it all leading to a sweet lil' ending with Gary finally teaching Spongbob how to tie his shoes via-song number. I'm sure any kid could relate to Spongebob's struggles here, since tying shoes can look so simple yet it ain't always easy remembering how to tie the perfect knots. " Your Shoe's Untied" = Spongebob has trouble remembering how to tie his shoes, so he tries to hide them and then look for a solution in tying them back to normal. (A little guide to this grading system here):Ī = Fave, an episode that I found SO fun overall that I consider it my personal favoriteī = Good, an episode that I think is entertaining, but not quite "fave" materialĬ = Okay, an episode that I'm pretty neutral on, but I can still find some positives to say about itĭ = Meh, an episode that I'm pretty neutral on, but there's too many negatives to make it "Okay"į = Bad, an episode that is just SO filled with negatives that I can't give it a positive ranking. Since alot of you guys seemed to enjoy the scorecard I did for Spongebob's first season, thought it'd be fun to go on ahead towards the second season
